The project can take place at any convenient time during the school year. Ideally the planning process should be complete at least a term before the project starts. Information Sessions can be arranged for groups of schools interested in running a Heritage Quest.

PRE-PROJECT PLANNING: PREPARATORY MEETING. This meeting, held in school at a mutually convenient time sets the parameters for the project. Ideally teachers will have identified their own aims and objectives and will be able to discuss learning objectives with our own educational staff. Wherever possible materials gathered for any previous local history projects should be available to assist our team in developing develop a Resources Pack specific to the project planned.

Resources Pack
The resources pack could include:
Quest trail map
Timeline
Site specific Wonder Cards

Audio CD of Music/Oral History etc.

SUPPORT DURING THE PROJECT: PROJECT INTRODUCTION. The project will begin with a visit from our costumed storyteller who will bring the Resources Pack and introduce the Arthur's Quest for your students. The length and format of the session will be agreed at the Preparatory Meeting.

THE QUEST. The running of the QUEST, the organisation of the detective's work and the response to Arthur can take place at times that fit into your own timetable. There will be ongoing online support and web based resources available.

TIMETRAVELLING AND THE MAKING OF THE HERITAGE KNIGHTS. (The fun day out)To qualify for this optional 'treat' your students will be asked to make a response to a question that 'test's their underlying understanding of the concept of heritage, you can answer this question as a group but individual responses are preferred.
