Go West in the Teme Valley can offer you: Information about the Teme Valley Information about ways to explore the area. 1. A Food and Heritage Car Trail. This fascinting car trail guides you from Worcester to Tenbury Wells. It takes you to view points, places of interest and places to eat and drink, along the route The route leaflet is free and can be downloaded or collected from local Tourist Information Centre, or send us a s.a.e. and we will send you one. Please note that you really need the audio CD that accompanies the trail. You just insert the CD into your car sound system and follow the instructions. Its like having a personal guide to the area, you will be taken to view points and stopping places to hear the story of the area across the centuries. Visit the shop (click left) for more information. 2. A series of Parish Heritage Walks. These are short circular walks around a parish. They too have associated audio guides to makes sure you get the best from your walk. Each walk continues the story of a parish started on a 'Talking Box'. 3. Stories from the Stones 'Talking Boxes'. Blue Talking Boxes have been installed to start to tell the local story in the parish churches of Broadwas, Cotheridge, Martley, Shelsley Walsh, Stockton-on-Teme and Lindridge (villages on the route from Worcester to Tenbury Wells). Each church and parish is unique with its own story to tell. Switch on and you will hear the church start to tell its story, there are six channels to choose from, each has a different topic of interest, including a Children's Channel. There is no charge to switch on a Talking Box, but donations towards the upkeep of these ancient churches are always very much appreciated. 4. HERITAGE DETECTIVES, a special activity for families. This is a site that aims to introduce you to the heritage of a beautiful area - the ruined castles, ancient churches, water mills, farmsteads, and all the converted buildings that tell the story of the countrysiden over the centuries . We hope that you will want to share this with your children and grandchildren and so we are developing activities to help you of activities for families.
