ABOUT PARISH HERITAGE WALKS The countryside is full of footprints: every generation has left them behind. Some are obvious, most are not, they quickly fade and soon completely disappear. On a Parish Heritage Walk you will walk in the surviving footprints and discover the stories that go with them. All Parish Heritage Walks start with a visit to the parish church where you can switch on a Stories from the Stones Listening Post to unlock the story of the church and its parish before following that story out into the parish. Each Parish Heritage Walk comes with an accompanying audio. These will be available early in 2008: as downloads in pm3 format and as CDs by mail order from this site.

Families can attempt a Village Heritage Quest. Those on a Quest follow the same route but develop their skills as Heritage Detectives. The whole family will need the work together to complete the Quest. Click on Families for more information

HERE'S WHAT TO DO. Choose your walk.
1. Click below to download the route map and the walker's instructions that go with it. Print them onto A4 paper.
2. Download the audio commentary onto your mp3player. (or send for a copy of the CD)
3. Download and print a Quest Sheet. Then click on the pages for 'Families' to make sure you have all the material you need to develop your skills as Heritage Detectives.
4. Listen to the instructions, gather everything together and go out and enjoy the Teme Valley countryside.
