In 1204 when Arthur lived by the river Teme at Caldicot Manor in the borderlands of England and Wales his overlord Sir Roger Mortimer of Wigmore was summoned to Worcester by King John to witness the betrothal of the King's daughter, Joan, to Prince Llywellyn of Wales.  

Arthur, was one of the young knights who rode behind Sir Roger in his entourage all the way to Worcester. He remembers passing many fine stone churches and stopping for refreshment at manor houses owned by the mighty Mortimers but he is not certain which route they took and he wants to find out.
