MEDIEVAL KNIGHTS
When Arthur de Caldicot was growing up he dreamed of becoming a knight. If you have read 'The Seeing Stone' and the other books in the 'Arthur' trilogy by Kevin Crossley-Holland you will know all about how difficult it was to be a knight - all the skills they had to learn and the rules were expected to obey. To be a knight a young boy would first became a page and start to learn archery and swordsmanship, to hunt and hawk and to learn good manners and courtesy. When he was older he continued his training as a squire. Then, if he was good enough, he would be made a knight! Click to find out more about Arthur and his friend Gatty
21st CENTURY KNIGHTS
